Those babies are extremely realistic! It is almost eerie… almost, but not quite. Amazing skills, though!
You’re amazing. I’ve dabbled in portrait sculpting but gave up because I don’t have the space nor equipment for serious work. After seeing your work, I’m wondering if I could sculpt on a small scale.
What materials do you use?
I want them all, they are adorable and no problem to care for. Wish I was so talented!! Lovely.
i’ve had an abortion and u brought me to tears.
yeah ive had an abortion too, it didnt really look like that though..
As an artist and a mother of two, you blow me away. is there anyway that if i give you pictures of my babies that you can make them into clay?
They only think babies are ugly until they have one of their own
Wow . . . there is no doubt the artistry is there and the level of skill is mind-boggling; but, for me, there is also no doubt that this particular art form seems ineffably creepy. TINY CLAY BABIES! IN EGGS! Well, I’ve seen weirder . . . but amazing, truly amazing work.
To be honest, I found these quite freaky.
Obviously a very talented artist, but weird.
I miscarried a year ago, and they brought a lump to my throat.
But then they just freaked me out =/
I have seen this same posting, only the claim was that they were marzipam babies
…babies from clay… like God made the people from clay… a very interesting idea! And very, very well done. An awesome artwork. Thank you for sharing with us.
i suppose they’re well crafted, but who wants a creepy baby tchochke? that hair… yuck.
That is really, REALLY creepy. It feels like something Hannibal Lecter would do to pass the time..
This creeps me out too much. It’s really disturbing.
Even amazing, still wierd.
Your talent is superb and you have an amazing eye for detail. What is truly weird and creepy are the bizarre responses from some of the people who’ve commented.
no doubt..I was surprised to see what lengths people go to to throw in there tasteless thoughts on everything. She is amazing and I think they look very real, shockingly detailed. Babies are beautiful. Especially when they are first born. Rock on girl you’re super good-looking too.
Yeah, it’s creepy, but if it keeps her from making real babies, the earth is a much better place.

These are really cool. I don’t think it’s creepy at all….what is creepy???
As a very soon to be dad who can’t sleep due to stress as is i would like to thank you for not letting me sleep for the next 3 weeks
They are pretty amazing… If a bit freeky as well - Just too lifelike!
I think they are beautiful…they are life like and I think that is what makes them creepy… I have never heard such rude comments though… even on some morbid artist pictures!!! I think you rock also!!!
Stunning! So life-like. I can’t understand those who think them creepy. They capture the innocence and beauty of the newborn. Fantastic!
These are truly beautiful. Pay no attention to the negativities. As one who sees and removes dark force entities, these are not at all creepy.
creepy, weird.. using these words to describe this talent shows little intelligence. good work. i pity most of the people for their responses in here. pathetic…..
Hey these are wonderful creations of yours! Precious hand crafted works… And they can remind us that we all were babies once. Don’t care about people who tend to judge your work using the wrong words or definitions…they’re simply ignorant or unconscious. A baby, even an image of it should remind us of beauty, fragility and higher sense of life. Take good care. Bless you
She really is a fine sculptress, remarkable. Those are the ONLY kind of babies the world needs right now. This, of course, is my own opinion.
She is a remarkable sculptress, reminding me of the medieval miniaturists.
Wow thats kinda creepy…who would make a career out of this?!?
I am impressed, your work stirs a lot of emotion and response from the viewers, I am amazed by your talent, as a sculpture I have always told my client I could not reproduce an exact copy only an interpretation but you do more you capture emotion.
lovely
[...] Clay Babies Incredible talent and detail. [...]
You have a beautiful and rare talent… How some people can’t see it is beyond me.
To the soon to be dad…. if your so stressed about having a child why didn’t you take the steps necessary to prevent such a miracle from happening?
interesting work. very intense. right on.
…and an intersting site with the comments. Amazing how mean some people are with their remarks. A crossection of human feeling and non-feeling.
to the person who saw the marzipan article, i did too, but it sounded a little fake. so i went to snopes.com and the babies are actually made of clay. http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/marzipan.asp
i think they’re cool. not creepy or anything.. heh.
I think they are amazingly well crafted! Beautiful, even though they can be a bit creepy. just can’t believe that some people would say “ew” to them! How in the world can you think a baby is ugly?
Yes, they are very well-crafted. The detail is amazing. Gives me the creeps though.
What amazes me (apart from your skill and dedication) is the polarising effect of your work. Perhaps babies in all their unadorned innocence remind us, on a deep level, how guilty we sometimes feel at our own loss of innocence and idealism.
Or on the other hand, they can serve to remind us that each ending is a new beginning, and every moment brings opportunities to see innocence instead of judgement, condemnation and fear.
Or perhaps they are just beautiful sculptures…
BTW, if anyone has any textile craft skill, a charity called little angels based in the UK could really do with some of your TLC. They are on the bottom of the following page:

Thanks!
These are absolutely beautiful! Wonderful, sensitive idea.
babies are ugly. theyr only cute to mothers because of the hormones released saying that its yours and is a continuation of you.
Definitely creepy, and women don’t “just say that” Holly the anti-feminist… not every woman has kids or wants them. We’re human, which means biology isn’t destiny and we can make our own decisions. But for all the talent, I’m voting for definitely creepy and bizarre.
theres so much work in those babies. My Goodness. It must take an incredibly long time to make one. WOW. I dont think theyre creepy at all. Theyre beautifull. Partly because theyre fragile, unique, and in maybe a bit ephemeral.. Good for you .. Congrats.
The only reason people could be creeped out or say these are bizzare is because they are perfect - almost more perfect than life. Anyone who would say that clay babies in eggshells is weird, come on, get out of your left brain and appreciate the art of it. Or if you still want to be analytical, think about the symbolism of it - NOT the literal symbolism, that they are babies made of clay, but like what they could mean in terms of life.
…and the point is? So you can make tiny babies… what are you contributing?
